One post, many platforms: adapting captions without extra work
Why each social network needs slightly different text, and how to adapt one post for each of them in PostVIA.
By PostVIA Team

Posting the same text everywhere is quick, but networks are not the same: caption limits differ, some networks need media and some expect extra fields such as a video title.
Start with a common caption
Write the version of your message that works for most of your audience. This is the common caption, and every selected network uses it unless you change it.
Let the checks guide you
When you select accounts, PostVIA checks the post for each platform as you type. You see, for example, when a caption is too long for one network or when a network needs an image or video.
Override where it matters
For networks that support it, open the platform tab and write a dedicated caption — for example a shorter, more direct text for one network and a longer description for another. YouTube also gets a title and a privacy setting.
Some networks always use the common caption. For those, keep the common caption within their limit, or publish to them in a separate post.
Keep the media shared
The media set and its order are shared by every destination, so you only upload and arrange them once.
Each platform page on our site lists what PostVIA supports for that network — for example the Instagram page.
